How to Build an Email List of Prospects…Get Results the Easy Way!

There’s a right way and a wrong way to market to prospects online. The good news is that the RIGHT way is also the least expensive. I’m about to show you how….

Email marketing delivers to buyers and sellers what they want……contact and action. Email marketing is also easy, consistent, and a fraction of the cost of print advertising or direct mail.

Your future clients want to know how to get in touch with you, what you’re up to, and how you can help them. Anyone thinking of buying or selling a house would gladly like to be on YOUR elite email list. LET THEM JOIN IT!

How will you do this the RIGHT WAY? Watch this video:

It’s free to use for up to 500 contacts on your email lists. After that it’s remarkably inexpensive, and by the way, your good friend Heidi managed to get you a $30 coupon!

Let’s keep it simple to start.

You’ll use MailChimp for two primary purposes:

    1. Add an ‘opt-in’ form on your website or blog. Visitors will input their emails here.

    2. Create professional emails with the pre-formatted html templates to send newletters to your prospects

MailChimp is a modern way to collect email addresses, manage contacts, and deliver ATTRACTIVE emails to your prospects. MailChimp gives you easy templates to deliver html and text emails simultaneously (read: pretty emails with images AND blackberry and old school friendly text-only emails at the same time)

MailChimp adds an email subscribe form to your website or blog. (like the one on Tech Talk) Put it up top right where EVERYONE can see it. People will gladly opt-in. You can then start the most important process today and begin the process known as ‘Conversational Marketing.’

If you have an existing email list you can import it, and continue the conversation you’ve already started (but now with much fancier looking emails-without having to pay a designer!)

Some advanced features of MailChimp you may also use.

    1. Autoresponders. A site visitor can enter their email to receive a ‘Free Report’ you have created about home staging. They enter their email, and the autoresponder automatically sends them the report you created. You can then follow up as you see fit with an email. Tremendous time saver, with lots of value to both you and your client

    2. Link tracking Advanced AIM reports allow you to know who opened your emails, and when.

    3. Video blog delivery
. New video or testimonial? Post a link to your subscribers and share what you have to say.

Feel like taking your business to the next level? Give it a try.

More on the importance of Conversational Marketing in our next blog post……but you’ll only be able to read it if you subscribe with your email on the top right of this blog!

Love and Success,

This is the stuff you just can’t learn in the classes taught at the Board of Realtors. I would PAY to learn this stuff, you are a Godsend Heidi.

This is especially applicable for vacation property. I sell a lot of condos, and staying in touch with tools like this is exactly what I need. Direct mail has just been getting too expensive.

I think we’ll switch over to email marketing with MailChimp, the product tour is awesome!

  6. Sean Goerss Says:

Heidi, do you know if they have added split testing yet?

I know http://www.aWeber.com has split testing, and my CRM uses that too – it’s a WOLRD of difference to split test emails with different subject headlines, short or long copy, etc.

Every email system should allow for some type of split testing. I do think Mailchimp is cool.

  7. Heidi Says:

Yes, MailChimp has subject line split testing
